Panelized Homes
Panelized homes are often misunderstood. A home can be panelized in one or more ways. Typically, the home's panels are constructed off site and shipped to the building site in 8 to 12 foot sections.
Panels can be made of regular "stick-built" sections or can be made of energy efficient "Structural Insulated Panels" or "SIPS". Either method can be considered "panelized."
These homes are NOT manufactured homes and we do not have any restrictions on the financing of panelized homes.
Typically, you are able to choose from a pre-designed plan that a manufacturer offers or have any design of your choice panelzed.
The benefits of panelized homes are many:
- Panelized homes allow you to build a little faster than traditional, on-site stick built homes
- Material costs can be controlled by buying a package of materials
- Costs of materials can be lower by purchasing a complete package vs. buying individual components of the home
- You can choose from pre-designed homes or have a home custom designed and panelized
- Some types of panelized homes offer unique energy efficiencies.
