Dear OB101,

Kathy and I are excited to announce that we are moving into our new home this coming weekend - with three weeks to spare before the school year starts back again. It was close, but we made it on time and on budget.

Both of us being teachers, and not having any real experience with construction or home buildng, we were a little nervous taking on this project. But, you assured us that it could be done successfully if we just planned correctly and managed the sub contractors. The assistance that you gave us throughout this past year has been wonderful.

As you know, we did not do any of the work ourselves, preferring to leave that to the professionals. But, we still saved a ton of money by coordinating and managing everything. There were a few headaches along the way, but we figure anything worth having is worth a little trouble. And in the end, we are moving into our new home with over $55,000 equity in our new home. It would take us years to save that much out of our incomes. And you allowed us to do all this without making a down payment, which we could not have done.
